Robbins Hardwood Floors

Robbin’s Fine Hardwood Flooring Collection is another subsidiary of Armstrong, the word’s largest hardwood flooring company. This collection offers both prefinished solid hardwood flooring and prefinished engineered hardwood flooring.

Prefinished solid hardwood flooring is 100% natural, solid hardwood that is milled from lumber, and is best used on first and second floors, but not recommended for basements. It’s installed by either nailing or stapling down over a wood subfloor. The protective finish preserves the woods natural beauty, and is available in regular and low gloss.

Prefinished engineered hardwood flooring is also 100% genuine hardwood, but it’s made up of several layers. This cross-ply construction is more stable and less likely to expand and shrink than solid wood. A layer of the species, grain, and color you choose is the top layer of the plank, which is also coated with the protective finish. Engineered hardwood flooring can be installed by gluing or stapling, and can be used in any area of your home. It can also be installed over vinyl and concrete.

This collection is grouped by the following categories. Hand Sculpted, Color Wash, Exotics, and Traditionals. Robbin’s flooring offers either a fifteen or twenty five year Residential Finish Warranty that ensures the finish will not separate from the flooring, and a Lifetime Structural Warranty against defects.

Hand Sculpted
Centuries old craftsmanship comes alive in these hand sculpted floors. The edge of the planks are beveled, and they vary in length to provide a more authentic look.

Crafters at Robbin’s sculpts each piece of wood by hand, creating this warm and timeless look. The floors in the Hand Sculpted collection are either solid or engineered hardwoods, and they all have a 25 year warranty. Planks are either 5” or 7” wide and ¾” thick. The deep, dark tones with a large amount of contrast makes these floors so inviting.

Color Wash
The Robbin’s color wash process creates a unique and elegant floor by using a dark stain that really brings out the wood’s natural grain and color details.

The floors in this collection are all engineered hardwood, so you can use them anywhere in your home without worry, and they all have a twenty five year warranty. The planks are 5” wide and ½” thick, making them extremely durable. Vibrant color contrasts compliment any type of décor or lifestyle.

Exotics
The Exotic species come from all over the world and are especially known for their superior hardness and durability. They also portray a high level of sophistication.

The Exotics Collection is truly unique and diversified. Widths are available from 2 ¼” all the way up to 5”, and the thickness ranges between 3/8” and ¾”. Available as solid or engineered hardwood, there are many ways to customize these remarkable floors. Traditionals
As America’s most popular choice for hardwood flooring, Oak is the only species featured in this collection.

With so many options in this collection, to help narrow it down decide if you prefer solid or engineered hardwood, and then the type of plank edge you prefer. You can choose from a square edge, a beveled edge, or a micro edge. All come with a 15 year warranty, with the exception of the New Traditionals, Fifth Avenue, and Passeggiata, which come with a twenty five year warranty.
