Mohawk
Tile
The right combination of
size, color, finish, and texture are what really helps to
define the look and feel of a space, and Mohawk’s product
line has what you need to achieve this.
Mohawk tile is available
in all major product types, such as floor tile, wall
tile, decorative tile, and mosaics. Their special
attention to every detail of tile design will help to
create product solutions suitable for any space, whether
commercial or residential. Whether the space needs to be
classic or modern, Mohawk will have a product that is
appropriate for any of your needs.
Mohawk products are an incredibly eco-friendly choice for any
design needs, because of the manufacturing processes they have
developed. The three main plants where the tiles are made do
not produce any process waste water and the other Mohawk
manufacturing plants recycle and reuse much of their waste
water every year. Over the past several years, Mohawk has also
made noteworthy energy improvements in their manufacturing
process, including installing office occupancy sensors,
replacing older equipment with newer fuel efficient equipment,
and turning off firing burners when not in immediate use. They
have managed to save enough natural gas from these actions to
power more than 6000 homes for an entire year. Mohawk also
reuses the waste tile scraps and other raw materials left over
in the manufacturing processes to produce their tile. Their
reuse of these materials has kept over 98 million tons of waste
out of the landfills in the last couple of years alone.
Mohawk has several different collections available on the
market today. Among these are their ceramic and glazed ceramic
tile lines, which offer more options such as color, texture,
and pattern than other flooring currently available. Many of
the processing techniques available today allow them to produce
tile that is practically identical in looks to natural marble,
travertine, and slate.
Mohawk
Offers a Variety of Ceramic and Porcelain
Tiles
Ceramic
Tile Mohawk's ceramic tile, which is made from
a mixture of ground clay powder and water, is very durable.
Once the tile is formed, it is dried to remove all the extra
moisture within it. Then top surface of the tile is brushed
with a colored glaze, which is permanently fused to the tile
by firing in the kiln at 2000 degrees Fahrenheit.
These types of glazed ceramic
tiles are great for different areas of the home, such as
kitchens, sunrooms, and bathrooms. The Bella Rocca ceramic tile
is a great example from this product line. It comes in 18”x18”
and 12”x12” field tile, 3”x12” bullnose tile, and border tile.
Venetian Wheat, Etruscan Gold, and Tuscan Brown are just a few
examples of the colors available in the Bella Rocca
line.
Porcelain
Tile Mohawk also offers porcelain and
porcelain glazed tile, which is made from a combination
of minerals and ground clay. These tiles are very
resistant to moisture, everyday wear, and stains.
Mohawk's porcelain tiles are great for use both indoors
and outdoors because of these qualities.
One great example of the glazed
porcelain tile is Bucaro, which is certified for both interior
floor and wall applications. This particular product has
several different size available, including large field tile,
2”x13” border tile, chairail, bullnose, and quarter round
options. There are many great colors choices to choose from in
this collection.
Mohawk offers ColorBody Porcelain
Tile as well, which is defined by the color infused throughout
the body of the tile. ColorBody tile has a minimal water
absorption rate, which makes it long lasting, wear resistant,
and great for both indoor and outdoor use.
The Montara ColorBody porcelain
tile is a great example from this particular Mohawk collection.
This tile is excellent for use indoors, outdoors, as well as on
countertops, and walls. Montara is recommended for commercial
use because of its wear and slip resistance. This product is
available in field tile, bullnose tile, 2”x2” mosaic,
decorative corner tile, and 4”x12” border. Montara has many
great colors to choose from.
